Most frequent questions and answers

We recommend you arrive either by a certified airport taxi (the airport taxi stand is opposite the arrivals terminal) or by a rental car, parking is available on property.

Visit our Island Info page for directions on getting to the resort.

We strongly recommend renting a car to get out and see what Antigua has to offer, from its many beaches, restaurants, historical attractions, vibrant markets, hiking trails and many other points of interest.  A rental car will give you the flexibility to see things at your own pace, get groceries and live like a local. Taxis are also readily available, but for regular trips could become costly.

Visit our Island Info page to see more of what’s in and around Antigua.

Happy sightseeing!!

There are several grocery stores on island. Gourmet Basket is located on route from the airport. If you arrive during opening hours, your taxi driver could stop while you pick up a few “starter” items (milk, fruit, etc….) for a small waiting fee.

Once you are settled, you can take a taxi or drive to get groceries. The closest community is English Harbor (about 25-30 minute drive), where you will find a few food shops:

  • The Covent Garden
  • C.E. Bailey Supermarket
  • Dockside Liquors

The largest supermarket is Epicurean located in St. John’s, which is about 40 minutes by car. They also have a large branch in Jolly Harbor on the west coast. Using Google Maps, you will find the exact location and be able to confirm opening hours.

For those looking to get groceries delivered, you may consider downloading and utilizing the ALL MART app, which promises “Same-day delivery or pickup for anything you need, wherever you are.”
