Thanks to many years of experience at Nonsuch Bay and around the world 40knots has developed a highly effective and professional methodology for its kitesurfing courses and instruction.
The kitesurfing area of two square miles is inside Nonsuch Bay and since it is on the windward side of Antigua, behind a barrier reef and with a launching point from a sandy beach at the mouth of the bay, kitesurfers maximise time on the water. The instructors provide constant support and guidance from inflatable boats and all this is accessed directly from the Nonsuch Bay Resort waterfront. Forget road transfers to the sailing area, long and exhausting walks on the beach, temperamental radio helmets or instructors shouting from miles away... the sailing school is based directly in the resort and 40knots instructors can always be close to you on the water.
40knots offers trial lessons, full beginner and intermediate courses, private and group lessons, equipment rental and support for kitesurfers using their own equipment.

The Test Lesson – A one hour introduction to kitesurfing including practice flying trainer kites on the beach and then in the water, explanation of the flying equipment and specific drills in preparation to being hooked to a power-kite.
The Get Going Course for beginners - A package of three 2 hour lessons with the aim of introducing kitesurfing in the safest and quickest way possible. It deals first with mastering the skills and understanding of flying a power-kite and progresses on to the first water starts with a kiteboard. With ideal conditions and close on the water support from instructors, participants progress in the shortest possible time.
